The 2 Junior Suites, Bianca and Sofia, are a bit more spacious with the extra sitting area and offer incredible views. The 3 Deluxe Rooms - Edoardo, Martino and Vittoria - offer luxury amenities including king sized beds, unlimited high speed internet, laptop-size room safe, hair dryer, ample power outlets in every room which somehow are always limited. If you wish for more privacy, the Mezzanino Oscar Apartment with its own private entrance is perfect for longer stays or just separate space. It is perfect for 2 people with its fully equipped kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom with shower… and all of the amenities of the rest of the B&B. If you wish to have breakfast included, all you need to do is ask at the reception!

The Malenchini family, who owns the Villa Medicea di Lilliano wine estate 15 minutes outside of Florence, are proud to share their history and wines with guests in the heart of Florence. While the historical palace has belonged to the Malenchini family since the 19th century, the Peruzzi family itself dates back to medieval Florence. The Peruzzi were bankers and one of the wealthiest in the city, extending their influence across all of Europe, much like the Medici family, from the 1300s. The Peruzzi Urban Residences are in one of the family towers overlooking Piazza dei Peruzzi which served as an internal courtyard to several family homes all around. The nearby Basilica of Santa Croce houses the family chapel, the Peruzzi Chapel, frescoed in the early 1300s by Giotto and his workshop with scenes from the lives of St. John the Baptist and John the Evangelist.

The tower belongs to the 1901 list of monumental buildings considered part of Italy’s national artistic heritage and you can still see much of its external medieval appearance, namely in the rock faced masonry of local sandstone and other details, such as the corbels that once supported exterior wooden balconies/galleries and the original windows closed up with bricks and intonaco. The interior, however, has been modernized to provide all of the best comforts of modern times. A stay at the Peruzzi Urban Residences is indeed a mix of the old with the 21st century.

The B&B has a spacious common lounge area with period furniture and a long, central wooden table that serves as the setting for every morning’s delicious breakfast offerings. The large open kitchen next door is also the perfect area for enjoying a cup of afternoon tea or coffee and chatting with fellow guests at the residence, or enjoying a cooking class or wine tastings from the Malenchini wine estate if you desire. The rooms are set all around these common areas, making your stay at Peruzzi Residences feel like a luxurious getaway with the personal connection of being in a small establishment. Daily housekeeping and 24hr access codes make it easy to enjoy the ease of going out and about as you wish.

Everything is minutes away

A stay here allows you to revel in the buzz of the city but still wake up rested and ready to explore Florence’s many attractions, from museums to boutiques to markets, restaurants and chic coffee rooms and gelato shops. The reception staff is on-hand every morning to offer assistance and concierge service but being in the center of it all also makes it possible to return at any time during the day to rest and recharge before heading back out for the evening’s meal and entertainment.

The main train station, Santa Maria Novella, is about a 10 minute walk and from there you can also set out to explore beyond Florence to Lucca, Pisa, Siena or San Gimignano, to name a few of the top destinations within Tuscany or take a fast train to Rome, Venice or Milan for an extended day trip to enjoy shopping and attractions at Italy’s top cities.
