The apartment

The apartment is completely equipped for a self catering holiday in the green countryside that surrounds Pistoia, a few steps from Vinci, the birthplace of the famous Tuscan artist Leonardo. Provided with simple but functional furnishings, it's made of an equipped kitchen with oven and microwave, a living room with double sofa bed, TV SAT and direct access to the private garden, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower and hair dryer.

Il Nido Toscano, located in a recently restored villa on a hillside position, has a private garden with bbq where guests may arrange typical Tuscan dinner, and a private parking with remote control.

Many activites may be arranged for guests nearby the apartment: bike guided tours, wine-and-food tasting, organization of tours to the main sightseeings of Tuscany, spa treatments, transfers to and from airport.

For all those interested in local cuisine, a typical restaurant a few minutes drive from the apartment serves delicious dishes; in alternative, romantic dinners may be arranged in the apartment.

Location

This good value apartment is particularly recommended for its strategic position, since Montalbano is a panoramic hilly area (which truly looks like the more famous Chianti, both renowned for the production of DOC wines and extra virgin olive oil), among the cities of Pistoia, Prato and Florence.

The apartment then, is really close to all the main sightseeings of Tuscany: Pistoia is 20 minutes drive, Florence about 30, Lucca and Versilia exclusive sea resorts about 40 minutes and finally Pisa with its leaning tower only 50, just to mention the more renowned.

Close to the apartment, there are many other smaller tourist attractions that are worth a visit, like Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo, one of the most important Tuscan artist ever, where the museum dedicated to its life and main works could be an interesting destination to discover.

Then Lamporecchio, renowned for its main product, the brigidini (crumbly anise biscuits) and Montecatini Terme with its natural spa (20 minutes by car) are truly worth your while. All the area, moreover, is rich in artistic and architectural heritages, such as all the Medici villas lying around the territory, (that one in Poggio a Caiano is particolarly renowned for being the location to many Summer events).

Restaurant and small shops located 1 km far from Il Nido, while for all main services and all kind of shops, Lamporecchio is 4 km far only.
